Hello & Welcome,

I am Sonja, a freelance illustrator and designer, focusing on children’s books and surface designs such as wall art, greeting cards, stationary and more.

After graduating with an English and graphic design degree and working  in the publishing industry for almost a decade, I reunited with my earliest passion a few years ago: drawing and illustrating. Inspired by nature, fairy tales and childhood memories, I love to create magical scenes and bring charming characters to life.

Having lived in a few different places, I am now based in the Austrian countryside, not far away from my hometown Graz. When I am not at my drawing desk, you can find me outside in the fresh air, traveling through Scandinavian landscapes and pouring over a weighty novel; or – more lately – reading bedtime stories to my two children.
